Change history (3)
  1. New

Loot: Full raid collection from Bungie’s game data. Thanks: Net (suggested)

  2. Correction

The Gauntlet: The final requirement is nine deposits in total.

  3. New

Whole guide: Historical walkthrough of the Castellum and four encounters, with Prestige and Pantheon notes.

Main changes since the September 2026 rewrite, newest first. Corrections fix something that was wrong; site-wide layout changes aren’t listed. Source review means checked against the cited sources, not played.

Read the room before the pull.

Five guide stages cover the Castellum hub and four main encounters. The historical order of Pools, Gardens and Gauntlet rotated; use the open destination rather than treating this page order as a fixed weekly route. Calus is the finale.

Suggested ARG preparation: agree on Sun, Axes, Chalice and Beast callouts, then name replacements for every specialist. Read the Prestige changes before assigning a harder-mode run. Full-raid restoration remains pending.

The original route

01 / HUB

Castellum

Collect three Standards while keeping the destination plate secure.

Encounter list ↑
Castellum, Destiny 2
CastellumBungie · Destinypedia

Encounter sequence

  1. Read the required symbol

Find the door you are opening. Its floor marker indicates which Standard is needed; call that symbol to the collectors.

  2. Retrieve the Standard

Collectors go to the matching area, defeat the Standard Bearer and carry the flag back. Deposit it on the destination plate.

  3. Protect every deposit

Defenders stop Standard Liberators from reclaiming flags. When they are immune, enter the Loyalty Councilor's bubble and melee it, then resume fire.

  4. Open the door

Repeat for three Standards. Take the opened route; this hub can recur between the main encounters.

If the attempt breaks down
  • Keep a defender watching the flags while the others clear adds.
  • If a Standard is reclaimed, call the missing symbol and retrieve it again.

02 / ENCOUNTER

Royal Pools

Lower four chains and destroy the nine central censers.

Encounter list ↑
Royal Pools, Destiny 2
Royal PoolsBungie · Destinypedia

Encounter sequence

  1. Start the chains

Step on all four corner plates and the center plate together. Collect Psionic Protection to survive the water.

  2. Rotate through the middle

The relief player refreshes at the center orb and replaces a corner holder. That holder refreshes, then replaces the other corner. Continue the triangle; confirm coverage before moving.

  3. Kill Bathers on arrival

Prioritize the large Bathers climbing from each chain pit. Maintain plate coverage until all chains lock and the damage signal sounds.

  4. Break the censers

Regroup at center. Players on the middle plate use Force of Will to destroy the purple censers; assign two teammates to protect them from Bathers.

  5. Reset cleanly

When damage ends, melee the central Councilor and clear any projection. Repeat the rotations until every censer is gone.

If the attempt breaks down
  • Call low Protection while your replacement still has time to arrive.
  • An abandoned corner stops chain progress. Confirm the replacement by name instead of assuming someone is coming.

PC Gamer: Royal Pools

03 / ENCOUNTER

Pleasure Gardens

Build Empowering Spores, then defeat all six Royal Beasts.

Encounter list ↑
Pleasure Gardens, Destiny 2
Pleasure GardensBungie · Destinypedia

Encounter sequence

  1. Open the safe room

Clear the opening enemies and collect both prisms. Four players take Royal Pollen from the room beneath Calus's statue.

  2. Move the pollen as a group

Lookouts guide carriers around patrolling dogs. Bring all four carriers close to a glowing flower before activating it.

  3. Build the damage buff

A prism holder standing in a light beam shoots the flower. Repeat at other glowing flowers; prism players also kill the Beast Handlers that appear.

  4. Commit to the howl

When detected or ready to attack, each player goes to the assigned dog. Spend the accumulated buff on damage, then return to the safe room before the howl kills the team.

  5. Finish together

The safe room supports three retreats. Coordinate a final kill round; killing dogs early shortens later gathering windows.

If the attempt breaks down
  • Use one movement caller so pollen carriers do not split around opposite sides of a patrol.
  • Call the retreat before squeezing in another attack. A living team can prepare another cycle.

PlayStation LifeStyle: Pleasure Gardens

04 / ENCOUNTER

The Gauntlet

Carry Psionic Charges through the circuit and fill the central console.

Encounter list ↑
The Gauntlet, Destiny 2
The GauntletBungie · Destinypedia

Encounter sequence

  1. Clear and collect

Stand on the four symbol plates, clear the waves and Centurions, then collect charges at Beast and Chalice.

  2. Call the red ring

Runners call the next gate's symbol and red-ring row. With its plate occupied, helpers shoot the other two rows together, opening the route and charge pickup.

  3. Handle the Psions

After a runner passes, the plate helper melees the Councilor. Shoot floating projections immediately. Runners collect charges and avoid the obstacles.

  4. Bank three rounds

Complete the circuit and deposit at center. Repeat the paired runs three times.

  5. Run as six

Everyone collects a central charge. Allocate the four pickups per gate so different players skip each set. Bank enough survivors to reach nine deposits total: with six already banked, three more finish the encounter.

If the attempt breaks down
  • Never call the arrows you want shot: call the red row, then let helpers apply the shared rule.
  • Agree who skips each final gate before collecting charges; two consecutive missed pickups are fatal.

PC Gamer: the Gauntlet

05 / ENCOUNTER

Emperor Calus

Read the missing symbol, build Force of Will and damage the automaton.

Encounter list ↑
Emperor Calus: throne room, Destiny 2
Emperor Calus: throne roomBungie · Destinypedia

Encounter sequence

  1. Split after the clap

Shoot the chalice and clear adds. When teleported, the throne team takes return orbs; readers stay behind the low barrier.

  2. Read three, punch the fourth

Readers call their forehead symbols. The throne team melees only the Councilor whose symbol was not called. Readers kill Psions and projections while avoiding ramps and gaps.

  3. Build Force of Will

Readers shoot skulls. The throne team weakens Calus's shield and breaks it before his wipe; coordinate this with the skull team, which returns through the spawned orbs.

  4. Move through the plates

Group on one damage plate at a time. Shoot the head, then exposed chest as his armor breaks. Leave before the plate attack and move together through the agreed order.

  5. Finish the shield

Repeat the cycle if needed. At zero health, break his final shield before the wipe completes.

If the attempt breaks down
  • Suggested missing-symbol call: "Beast, Chalice, Axes: punch Sun." One throne player confirms the action.
  • Do not jump over the Mind's Eye barrier to chase ammo or evade a Psion. Clear threats from behind it.

Calus: keep the two-team language

The base Pantheon encounter retains the familiar symbol, skull and damage-plate loop in June 2026 player reports. Use the Calus section above as a refresher, then check the selected difficulty and feats.

With encounter challenges enabled, community reports describe Councilor-triggered teleports and a requirement to rotate players through the shadow realm before repeating. Plan a named rotation; this differs from the original four-plate Calus challenge.

Community observations: Pantheon encounter changes, June 2026 · Community observations: Pantheon challenges, June 2026

Adventure provides more forgiving practice settings. Pantheon has its own rewards and records; an original Prestige clear or challenge emblem is not a current Pantheon objective.

Reprised raid: awaiting details
